What it is: Similar to charades, this game uses four cards (at a time) with words that must be acted out for your teammates to guess. Cards come with three options: an easier word for one point; a medium difficulty word for two points; and a hard word for three points.
Brain Benefits: Memory, attention, visual processing, processing speed, motor skills, creativity
What I love: This is a fun, fast-paced game that the family can play together. The game says it’s for ages 8 and up, but it’s likely that slightly younger kids can play it as long as they can read and stick to the easier cards. The board includes a built-in timer that sucks the cards down if you don’t grab them fast enough after your teammate guesses the word correctly. You can imagine how funny it would be to see a grown man act out “mermaid” or “dolphin” and why it’s something that a family member of almost any age or ability could play.
What I would change: Each box only contains 320 cards (though each card has more than one word), making it easy to blow through the words in only a few games. I’d like to see a refill pack for sale, but the only thing I could find was a Bible edition of the game.
