What it is: The classic Japanese puzzle game is now available in the form of an app.
Brain Benefits: logic & reasoning, visual processing, attention, processing speed
What I love: I’ve always loved Sudoku because it’s surprisingly simplistic but also challenging. My dad used to mail me the Sudokus from his local newspaper, but now I can play them on my phone to pass time in the waiting room of the dentist or to help me relax before bed. Anyone can play because it doesn’t require ay math skills. You’re simply filling in a 9×9 grid with all of the digits (1-9) while ensuring none of the digits duplicate in the square, row or column. This app also offers hints in case you get stuck
What I would change: The game itself isn’t very colorful, though the graphics after each round are ok. They do let you adjust the colors within the game, but it’s essentially black, white and gray. Would be nice to have other options.
